NEWB!! But couldn't be happier

Yeah this forum seems awesome! I was previously on a Grand Prix forum and I found it hard saying good bye but this has been helpful in making the transition. I ended up getting an Acura TL for a daily driver but I am making a 1980's mustang as my project car. My uncle has one (I believe its a 1985) with the V8, manual tranny, etc.... So i was thinking of taking that off of his hands for cheap, tearing it all apart, engine rebuild, twin turbo (if available), redo the entire interior, suspension, body work etc etc and see how much fun I can have with it. Any comments? Or should I look for a newish-er one? late 80's early 90's era...

Sounds like you itching for another big project. And a big power one at that . I think it all depends on the look you want it seems like the price range covers from early 80,s to early 2000, Thats 4 different looks.I don't think drive train matters for your situation, because it,s all being torn out anyway.question is 302+ or modular engine? Ican't say which style I like best because I love them all. I drove an 85 gt once that was my first taste LOVED IT.
