Over the years I have owned several motorcycles and British sports cars. My latest was a 1980 Triumph TR8, which was rear ended and demolished recently by a inexperienced young driver...possibly texting. Fortunately I was not seriously hurt, but I am now looking for another set of summer wheels.
I have always thought a Mustang could be interesting, but now I have decided to proceed. I have done some research and spoken to a friend who recently purchased his first Mustang, and here is what I have in mind:
- convertible
- 2006-2008 range
- low mileage
- not black
Any additional input from the Mustang community would be appreciated.
Thank you

What you're looking for is cheap and plentiful, there's a million of them out there I'm betting you could find one anywhere from $14,000 to $17,000.
There was some poor bugger on here that spent $100,000 on an '03 convertible (car and mods),and sold it for $18,000, so what does that tell you about the used market ? lol
What's the problem with black, you one of those automotive white supremacist's or something ? (That's a joke BTW, welcome to the site)

Welcome
Good choice on a new ride. Body styles on the stang are the same from 05 to 09. It is a good time to be looking with the new body style coming next year. Also the 07 to 09 Shelby gt500 prices are down. A lot of the folks who bought the 07 GT500 new and paid 10K over MSRP are starting to come up for sale low mileage garage queens in the 30K range. Just saw a good deal on a Shelby gt in SoCal for 17K. Your price for used is better south of the boarder, new is a little different.
good luck with your search.
