One guy with one project from Montreal
Hello Everyone,
I'm 29, living in Montreal and I have the project to buy a Mustang in the following year.
I'm browsing forums, Ebay, Craiglist and mustang specialized sites for almost 1.5 year in order to get as much information as I can.
I'm planning to buy a 67' or 68', rust free fastback and import it to Montreal.
My budget will probably turn around 23-25 000 USD, without tax/transportation
I don't have experience in term of car maintenance but I like mechanics in general, I like to learn and worked on some 2 strokes engines when I was teenager (I also designed a V6 engine on Solidworks).
I want to be able to drive my mustang during the weekend, but also sometimes for my casual commutes (work), groceries, or anything else.
I don't have any other car, but I organized my current life keeping in mind my mustang project: work accessible by bike and transportation, everything is at walk distance in my neighborhood and I have the possibility to get an indoor parking spot for a good price in my building.
This to be able to live even if I have mechanical problems with the stang.
But right now, I have one BIG issue: I saw few old stang in my life, but I had never been able to drive it or take a ride in one.
So, if someone has a contact of a mustang owner in Montreal, capable of showing me his car, discuss about it, and maybe driving it for a few miles, it would be a great present (my birthday was October, 24). I speak French and English
And of course, if anything does not sounds good in my project, I would be more than happy to discuss about that with passionated persons like you.
Advises and similar experiences are MORE than welcome.
