Tips on picking up a 2010 Shelby GT500

Hello Forum members.

I am not a Mustang owner yet, but my partner and I are considering a 2010 Shelby GT500 or a 2009 Shelby GT500 KR.

Before we make the commitment I would like to hear a little bit about the car from the Mustang community. This car would be our summer car and I expect it to be much more of a project car than anything else when it comes to customisations. Mostly interior and exterior for now, not necessarily mechanical yet.

I truly would appreciate it if you could point me to some resources that you find valuable. I understand the 2010 is fairly new and known issues are probably not as well known yet. I am also looking into ideas how you would trust when buying or leasing in the GTA and whether importing from the USA makes sense. Any comment is welcome, thank you very much!

When the 2010 GT500 hit the media,it got great reviews all around. The best yet if you will.
Most couldn't believe that Ford was able to improve the 2010 GT500 100% over the previews genration.
The '09 KR is a sweet ride,and has a lower number count,but the 2010 GT500 is the winner thus far in my opion.Hard edges,aggressive look,fresh colours,a more attractive,and redesigned interior,more power,and more power,oh,i already said that LOL!
I'm in no means in the market for one,but if i was,and could afford any,it would be a 2010 Kona Blue GT500 with silver lemans stripes.
Oh,and welcome aboard, and good luck on your descision.

I decided to go the 09 gt500 route mainly because of the low low price. No problems yet but the odo has a measly oops I can't say due to a contest at the moment. I have had no issues to date other than the 130 coats of polish I have applied (sore back). I do know that a 10 gt500 would set me back another 12g's over the price of my 09. Either car you decide on will put a smile on your face which is worth the price of admission. Oh and welcome to CMOC
