Welcome dude, no help here either, but there always seems to be a Fox for sale somewhere. I hear you with the Harleys, I bet you get to a point where being shook to pieces and deafened gets to be a real pain in the butt. (kidding yoh)

Welcome aboard.
What you need to look at when looking at the fox's, is the front frame rails, and the lower portion of the strut towers, front lower rad craddle, floor pans, A pillars (the full length from the top to where the doors bolt to, and down), the rear quarters can hide stuff aswell. The lower edge of the hatch on the hatchbacks are bad for rotting aswell, the lower edge seems of the doors go aswell, then the torque boxes either rust out, or can be damaged from hard use threw it's life. The list can go on. These cars are not getting younger, and to get a prime mint one....... because most are rotted, or damaged....... you will be paying a good chunk for. Good luck on your hunt.

You have been pointed in the right direction, there is alot of rot boxes out there. If you decide you would like a real clean 90 LX Hatch that is spotless underneath and retains most of its original paint still , and has a healthy 306 in it. Check out my kijiji ad. # 418762376.

Motor, .030 over 302. Gt40 Tubular intake with 70 MM BBK Throttle body, ( even comes with the standard BBK whistle lol ) , brand new 24lbs injectors with matching 70mm C&L MAF. ARP Rod bolts, hardened pushrods, double valve springs, ported E7 heads with larger valves, Comp Cams extreme energy 533/544 roller camshaft, hi volume oil pump, underdrive pullies, aftermarket convertor, great shifting AOD with a shift kit, and rounded off with a 8.8 trak lok rear with 3:73s in it. New 255lph Walbro pump. etc.

No rust or rot here, just beautiful greasy undercoating.....
