So ya wanna race Eh? .... do ya got enuff?

........... Well heres your chance to find out

NOTE: RULES AND CLASSES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE

LNLC Club Invitational Drag Day challenge (2nd Annual)

Date: September 17, 2005 (Saturday)

GTAMC POINTS: 10 points (yes this is an official GTAMC event)

Location: St. Thomas Dragway, Sparta Ontario

Format:

- Heads up for grudge matches (.500 tree, ET win)

- Fastest time qualification will be a best of and average of two runs (ET)

- Participants are free to do a best of three for grudge matches, provided this is registered with the event recorder prior to the match. Otherwise it’s a one race takes all

- For a quickest in class and grudge match to be valid, the two participants must submit their respective time sheets to be recorded, or NO bragging rights, if they try to brag, and they did not register the race, they get nut kicked

- All thou not mandatory, it is strongly suggested that all participants come out for beer and wings after the racing is all said and done. This is also a great time for the winner to start enjoying their prizes (please refer to prize section).

- Participants are allowed to pick up to three (3) matches as they choose, please note Bizness already got half the guys gunning for him, so just leave him alone for now.

Classes:

- Normally aspirated (N/A-S) (331 ci and smaller displacement)

- Normally aspirated N/A-L) (332 ci and larger displacement)

- Power Adder (PA-S) (small displacement 306 ci and less)

- Power adder (PA-L)(large displacement, 307 ci and larger)

- Vintage class (VC) (1978 and older)

- Open class (King of the heap)

The classes should be self explanatory ……if you don’t get it, then don’t even bother showing up…..even Hanes’y gets this part of it….well sort of…..

General Class rules (applies to all classes except open class):

- Vehicle must be driven to the track, and not trailered. It is recommended you come to the track in one of the many organized “track cruises”, not only are these fun, but they go along way in proving your car is street worthy, and does not simply overheat when parked for the winter.

- Vehicle that wish to qualify for the “FASTEST LOSER” in any of the classes (with exception of open class) must run DOT approved tires, no slicks or wooden tires allowed. Cars are permitted to run slicks (wood is still not allowed) in grudge matches provided the opponent agrees.

- To much “bling” may cause for disqualification, the decision on whether there is to much “bling” or not fall to the LNLC inspection committee, and specifically member #2 and member #5, who will judge the “Official Bling Factor” (OBF). The OBF can be re-evaluated after all runs are submitted, and pending if the person with too much OBF handed anyone their collective asses…..

- All participants cars must be inspected by the LNLC inspection committee (LNLC Inspection committee is comprised of pre-determined LNLC members) prior to racing to validate the cars, LNLC members reserve the right to laugh at or ridicule the participants ride.

- All participants are asked to participate in the LNLC thread either in the GTAMC at least with one post. Does not really matter what they post, but they must post

- No rear spoilers that require a blinking red light to warn planes are allowed….no exceptions

Normally aspirated Class rules (small displacement 331 ci or less): Quickest ET

- 331 Cubic inch motor limit, motors larger then 331 ci, must compete in large displacement N/A class

- No power adders of any kind, this includes, turbos, superchargers and nitrous

- Cars equipped with Nitrous are allowed to compete in the N/A class, provided the nitrous system have been shut-off or disabled. Anyone found to have cheated by “spritzing” the juice while racing in a grudge match with a N/A car will be subject to 365 days of bad ridicule…including such insults as cheater, ***-hat and meat whistle.

- No limit on engine modifications such as heads, intakes, cams

- No limit on transmissions

- Open to carbureted and fuel injected cars

- No limit on suspension modifications

- Car must run a minimum of 2 runs to be qualified to register for the fastest of class, the fastest two runs will be averaged together and this will be the time submitted.

- Grudge match races can be counted toward the fastest of class runs, unless the grudge match was run with slicks

Normally aspirated Class rules (large displacement 332 ci or more): Quickest ET

- 332 Cubic inch motor limit, motors larger then 331 ci are eligible and mandated for this class

Power Adder Class (Small displacement) rules: Quickest ET

- Motor displacement 306 cubic inches and smaller

- Power adders consist of turbos, superchargers and nitrous….and hair dryers if you wish…..

- Car can have ONLY ONE (1) Power adder, vehicles with multiple power adders will be moved to the open class

- No limit on engine modifications such as heads, intakes, cams

- No limit on boost

- No limit on Nitrous system

- Cars with turbos that sound to much like Honda civics will be disqualified…..and likely spit on….once again this will be up to the LNLC inspection committee.

- Open to carbureted and fuel injected cars

- No limit on suspension modifications

- No limit on transmissions

- Car must run a minimum of 2 runs to be qualified to register for the fastest of class, the fastest two runs will be averaged together and this will be the time submitted.

- Grudge match races can be counted toward the fastest of class runs, unless the grudge match was run with slicks

Power Adder Class (Large displacement) rules: Quickest ET

- Motor displacement 307 cubic inches and larger

- Car must run a minimum of 2 runs to be qualified to register for the fasted of class, the fastest two runs will be averaged together and this will be the time submitted.

- Grudge match races can be counted toward the fastest of class runs, unless the grudge match was run with slicks

OPEN CLASS:

Whatever ya got, how ever ya got it there....run it....and may God have mercy on your sole ......

Grudge match rules:

- No tampering with your competitors cars…..yes this means you anim90210

- Cars are permitted to run slicks or bias ply tires (wood is still not allowed) in grudge matches provided the opponent agrees.

- N/A cars can compete against power adder cars if the two participants agree to it

- All grudge matches must be announced or initiated prior to or at the event, and must be listed with the LNLC organizing committee prior to the commencement to the second series of grudge matches

- All grudge match participants are strongly requested to participate in the LNLC drag day smak talk thread, which will be started by one of the LNLC inspection committee members at least 3 weeks prior to race day. There will two “smak talk” threads initiated, one in the LNLC section in the SW forum of the GTAMC, the other in the lounge of the LAMC. Participants are welcome to spill their banter over to the LAMC when the GTAMC crashes.

PRIZES: (Lets face it, this is the real reason why we do this)

- Winner of the quickest ET in class, will receive bragging rights for one full year, or to the date of the next annual LNLC drag day (which ever comes first). They will have cartblanche to rip into any of the participants in their respective classes….seeing as they laid down an ***-whooping non of them will soon forget. Prize is effective up to even the final milli-seconds of the first race the following year. A trophy indicating their accomplishments will also be awarded.

- Winner of the grudge match will get bragging rights for one full year over the person they beat, or to the date of the next annual LNLC drag day (which ever comes first). They will also receive a signed and officially signed verification certificate that they indeed handed the other person their ***. They will be allowed to selflessly abuse, ridicule and publicly humiliate the loser for this duration (please note the gross abuse JuMPy has taken from Hanesy), Prize is effective up to even the final milli-seconds of the first race the following year.

- The loser must accept defeat and never lash back with childish banter…… (once again please refer to JuMPy, and how he has taken this like a real trooper, even thou he is on the verge of suicide)

- Winners will have their names posted on the LAMC and GTAMC (provided its up), including their average ET’s. Grudge match winners will have their races posted, including the name of the loser they handed their *** to

- All class winners will receive a trophy (don’t expect much here)

- All grudge match winners will receive a certificate

For more information, please contact the following LNLC members, and they may or may not get back to you

Okay, so no trailered in junk unless registering in the "Open" class if I read that right? I'd have no problems driving mine in but not from 2.5 hours away so if that would stick me into the Open ranks, so be it. I may think about this some....

I'll have to see what's going on mid september. I haven't been to St. Thomas in a long time.

Can I come down just to run my car (T&T), spend the day with the stangers and watch some runs?

Im not coming out to run anyone, just want to get in some runs.

Its all in good fun folks. Race your friends, race your enemys, hell race your Mom, I don't give a flying F^ck....but for the love of God...race someone...LOL

The event is all for fun, last year was the first one we did, it was informal, with no real guidelines, and it turned out to be an absolute blast. 30 cars showed on a Friday night, and the race'n was close, and after it was said and done, alot of people made alot of new friends. This year, its on a Saturday, and the track knows we're coming, and we thrown in some prizes for incentive......like Biz said, its gonna be huge !!!

TC89LX, we made the rules like this because we didn't want to many classes, and we knew that there were some really fast street cars (like yours....as a matter of fact yours came up during discussions), that would be trailered in, and wipe out the guys that drove down. So hence the open class. I suspect that you would be one of the top runners in open class, and being fastest inthat class, comes with some pretty big bragging rights me thinks

Well I may just have to finally get the rear disc brakes on and maybe even that parachute, I had one heck of a time stopping last time I was there from the mid 130's with the stock brakes...and it's a hair quicker now though.

I may make the trip barring any breakage before then.

We have a couple of FAST boyz coming, CRAZY kid(MITCH) from LONDON seems to have lost the luv for his car and is selling it off though (that sux). I think he is going the path of the RICE.
