Just got back from the Monument, Co Charity Show. Blocked off 4 blocks of old downtown and it was a big party. 60' rock & roll, dancing in the streets and some great BBQ. Here's a few pics.
Plan on doing a little exploring here tomorrow...I think I'm going to drive up Pike's Peak as well.
VAEM...some of the mail boxs still look like R2D2...lol.

I gotta say Ronnie06GT, I'm unemployed right now with no money to do anything, so I'm really enjoying this road trip you're letting me tag along on with you!
On a serious note, I hope the fires I'm reading about in Colorado right now won't affect the rest of your trip.
Oh, and keep the pics coming!

I took on Pike's Peak today...man what a drive. Both the Limer and me needed a lung transpalnt when we got up there. The air gets pretty thin at 14,000 feet. If you ever get the chance to make this drive, do it, it's worth the trip....17 miles up incredibly steep, windy road(especially the last 2 miles) from 7000 feet to 14,110 and you're sitting right on top the Peak.
Moving on the Steamboat Springs tomorrow for the Rocky Mountain Mustang Roundup.
And yeh, the fires are causing some smoke but nothing serious yet.
