LNLC DRAG DAY SEPT 23/2006 Sparta
 

I know its early but this is shaping up to be a great event.

JMP, Oldschool and I will be putting on a drag day at Sparta again this year off of the amazing time we had last year.
This is part of the GTAMC "official" events again this year and we would like to welcome any and all CMOC members to attend. This is a fun event with trophies and prizes and a great time to put faces to board members.

This year have secured a major sponsor and hope too top the amazing turnout and day we had last year.

I know its early but this will give the CMOC members time to plan well in advance to be there, from the most novice to the most experienced, we invite you all.

Last year we had an award called "I got Beat by a Neon"

which a cmoc member won :laughhard

Now the Neon was a SRT-4...but a red light in the race gave the win to DD1 and 1Low03gt lost to a neon...gold...pure gold... :biggrin:

we have a couple of new awards this year...

That's ok, she doesn't even own a car. Her boyfriend has a Cavalier. That was with my transmission being screwed. Would own that neon with how it is now... and even more so with the Cobra :)

We need to go on the JCO day. First (only) time I went I actually raced against Steve.

I was there that day...didnt race though...talked to Steve for a bit..took some pucs for him...

It sure as hell was. I forgot my sunblock in the hotel room, I was completely roasted. My scalp was burnt, face, shoulders neck everything. I was a lobster.

This is my first drag event! What is involved? What is needed(safety)? What cost?

It depends on how fast you expect to run. I think 12.99 and under you need a helmet.

So , I don't need a helmet. :chacha:

It will be around $30.00 to run the day...we will have formats set up like we did last year..

3 valve
4 valve
power adder
race
you can pick 3 grudge matches (friendly)

bring a helmet and wear long pants and shoes..no shorts or sandals...
if you dont have a helmet one can be rented or probably borrowed...you could use mine if you needed.
make sure everything is 100% on the car..lugs tight, air pressure is good etc...and your good to go...we can send somone down with you the first time..we did last yr for some of the novice racers...we want it to be a fun day for everyone!

most of mine are good matches this year..I won all 4 last year but 1 was a redlight agaisnt airride who would have owned me..that car is hellafast!
