hmm i like that idea. cause dont get me wrong i love blowing the doors of a stock gt. but if he did to his car what i did to my car he would go really fast.lol still if its heads up than what fun is it to a stock v6 that comes up to a 400 or 500 hp v6??? one power adder per class. but to stock v6 vs blowen v8 must be bracket.

just read through the race info.it looks like it is just a grudge match race.count me out.if you have the fastest car and can cut a light you win.yea that's fair, the slower cars will always lose if the drivers can cut a light.regardless if it is a second slower or a tenth of a second slower, slower is slower.unless the cars are a dead match and it comes down to reaction times for the win then the race is unfair.a heads up race is one thing ,you usually know who your racing and what he's got for a motor/car etc.this is messed up.

are the OPEN classes run as a bracket race or grudge race? mike i don't know if a v6 can run a v8 with this layout.

ya heads up is only fun if the car are even matched. i might go but if there is only going to be 3 or 4 v6s there and non are boosted it wont be much fun raceing but i will get to meet lots of good people

The LNLC drag day was always about the fun factor. That is what made this event what it is.I've been part of it as a grudge racer since it's very first one in which it was a bunch of friends smack talking each other, and we went out to have some good old grudge racing for pure fun on one friday night. It has grown from there, and became a full day event for one day of the weekend once a year.
It's simple.
You make 3 grudges against other members,or friends, ects, and if you win,you submit your slip to the LNLC table.Once all times slips have been gone threw (according to your info),the fastest times are then sorted out,and put into their classes, and then winners are released at the end of the grudge day during the "trophy ceremony",or what ever you would like to call it.
That is how it use to be.Not sure if Darkhorse is doing it a similar way,or a new way.
Another thing that made this work which might be hard here since CMOC is Canadian ,most grudges were done threw 3 clubs that are wide with friends, being Toronto,Kitchener, and London, and whom ever that are part of those clubs in surrounding areas, and in between .
It would be really sweet if CMOC members (the ones within a close enough distance) can participate as a spectator,or even grudge other members on here that run similar times. It's the involvement that helps a club name .Internet, and stickers,or business cards only go so far,but being there is another thing, and it's a very positive thing!
So i hope i will run into some of you there.

Rampant,

Hope you answer a couple of your questions:

1. The V6 Class is a Mustang class. All formal classes allow one free power adder. If have a bone stock car, there is also a bone stock class. Hard to customize classes for every situation, but this year it looks like the V6 class may include more than mustangs since there is only two V6 Mustangs registered so far, one boosted, one not. Determination of class happens that morning when the cars are reviewed in person. I would LOVE nothing more than to see a V6 spank some V8's during the "grudge sessions" lol. The classes and awards are for overall fastest times of the day. You can even substitute a morning TnT time if it was faster, but it won't let you win the grudge certificate.

2. Open classes are just that, open. Everyone is in there together, fastest times win. It is not run as bracket etc, it's just for grudge win and fastest times....those are the two criteria for this event.

3. Keep in mind, the grudge win is for bragging rights among street cars, most of the people in this event are not die hard track junkies, they are street car owners in a club that want to have a straight up race for fun and smack material the rest of the year. "The fastest car don't always win" and no more is that proven then at this event, people red light, miss a gear, breakdown, whatever, everyone has much more of a chance then you think. In 2007, I personally won fastest 03/04 Cobra and what a miracle that was because there were several others much faster than me there that day, some wound up bumped into open class because of multilple mods and one just wasn't having a good day, should have beat me with his eyes closed. It's all for fun anyway.

4. Heads up is WAAAAY fun even with slightly unmatched cars, many guys can't drive well, or cut a light, so anything can happen. We try to get perfectly matched drivers race, but it's hard and we want the event as simple as possible and less work and math for the track to worry about like in a bracket race with dial ins etc. It's a fun event, come and see.

1LOW03GT,

This event has not changed very much since JumPy ran it, I feel he did an excellent job and I'm only trying to carry his torch forward. He has trained me how to run it and the legacy is his. I'm just trying to keep it going because so many people live for the annual event including me. We even brought it BACK to Sparta because the venue was better for it and I hope this continues for years to come.

The only "added bonus" this year is we have a charity pool where your hot g/f's can sit in the stands and pick the winners of the races for $10 per entry, 50% to the most correct winners and 50% to the CCVF. Canadian Crime Victim Foundation.

Peace out.

me.
