Well to make a long story short, I bought these THEATER RESEARCH 6.1 speakers BRAND new from some guy. He showed me something that said they were worth $1999.99. I paid $450.00.
They might be hot, they might not be. I don’t know.
So I was all excited, came home, and thought I would check online to see how much they really were worth...they retail for $199.99(USD)!!!

I have a home theater system already, but seeing it was such a "great deal" I thought I would buy and resell them (greediness is the root of all evil)

So I took them out of the box and hooked them all up, and they sound great.
Well as great as 6.1 speakers can sound on a 5.1 system.

So I thought I would see if any of you want them. Before trying to sell on e-bay or what ever

Throw me an offer. My stupidity is your gain. But keep in mind I did spend 450.00 on them, but I don’t expect you to pay more than retail.
I put them back in their plastic and back in the box.
for a quick reference for shipping, it will be about 35.00 to ship to vancouver, and im in ontario....

Did they drive up in a van as you were walking somewhere? If so, I've been asked a few times. I turned them down.

Sucks man

Actually, I think its a typo on the page.. if you look at the rest of the prices 1,999 falls in line with everything else they sell.

The fact they sound good makes me think you got a deal... umm other than the temperature they run at... LOL

nother look at the "what they say about' link... those are some DECENT parts they're using!!

They have been doing this for years..we have a thread on another board about them...

I havent been approached for a while..

one guy was at a stoplight one day in his car...they asked him if he wanted to buy some $2000.00 speakers for $500.00 and he said was RCMP (as a joke) and the van turned left through a red light....

so many storys...

good luck on the sale... :4:

I been approached many times by these fly - by - nighters but always live by " if it's too good to be true" attitude. My brother inlaw fell for it. In most cases, the speakers aren't hot, they just good looking junk. He got them home and there were no speakers in the cabinets! Just fake/false fronts. But man they look good!!

Ya, some work and sound ok but, if they have problems down the road, do you take them back to the parking lot were you bought them? I hate when people get ripped off, but it's the same as any mistake, people will learn from it.
Mike.

p.s. I really feel for you man, (as I do for the in-law) :booo: it just sucks.
