Hey everyone,
I'm selling a 1998 Ford Contour SE Sport. I bought it for my son so he can learn how to drive a 5 speed before he buys a new Mustang. He picked it up really quick, it's very easy to drive. He doesn't need the car because he already has a daily driver and is getting a Mustang soon...so it's up for sale. It's a great car, but we have no need for it. It would be perfect for someone who has a Mustang and is looking for a fast, fun, fuel-efficient daily driver. I'm selling it certified & etested...ready to go.

- Powerful 2.5 L V6 Engine (it produces 170 horsepower, but it is good on gas because it is only 2.5L...it has the power and sound of a V6 with the fuel economy of a 4 cylinder!)
- 5 speed standard transmission (smooth shifting, clutch is nice and light, easy to drive - a 5 speed gives you a better feel for the car)
- the V6 and 5 speed combination makes this a VERY fast car
- the car gets over 500 km per tank of gas
- Factory Ford Aluminum Rims (not cheap hubcaps/steel wheels)
- Power Option Package (Power Windows, Power Door Locks, Power Mirrors, Power Trunk Release)
- Sport Package (Aluminum Wheels, Tachometer, Cruise Control, Fog Lights, Center Armrest)
- Factory Ford AM/FM Cassette Player
- Digital Clock
- Rear Window Defroster
- Air Conditioning (it doesn't blow as cold as it should, needs to be recharged...or just drive with the windows down)
- Vehicle has an factory Ford immobilizer system in the ignition (most insurance companies give you a discount for this on your insurance premium)
- Includes 2 keys
- Very Roomy Interior
- Huge Trunk
- has a few minor spots of rust
- brakes are in good shape
- tires have plenty of tread left
- approx. 249,000 km - mostly from highway driving (but I swear you'd never know it, the car feels absolutely brand new)
- the car has just been professionally detailed
- Valid Safety Standards Certificate Included
- Valid Emissions Test Certificate Included
- I have a Clean Carfax report
***The only problem with the car (and it's not even a big problem) is that the air bag light is flashing. The car was never in an accident, but I'm pretty sure there is a loose terminal on one of the airbags. It's just a small white light that flashes once every few seconds on the dashboard. The passengers can't see it from their angle, you have to be sitting in the driver's seat...so only you would know.***
I'm not a car dealer, so it's a private sale. No GST, just pay PST. No admin fees or any of that other stuff that dealers charge.

How about $1750 cash (or $1800 if you want to put it on credit cards)?
But that's as low as I can go.
We don't have room to park it.
It's really a great car, especially as a daily driver.
This would also make a great car for someone who would like to learn how to drive a 5 speed before they go out and purchase an expensive Mustang with a stick shift.
