Rifle

I have recently moved to Nunavut and need a rifle for work. Problem is, like everything else here, new rifles are ridiculously expensive.
I need something reliable and fairly accurate, preferably with a scope.
Needs to be a minimum of a .223 caliber but I would prefer it to be as large as a .30-30. I kind of lean towards lever action rifles, but I am not really picky. In the end, so long as it works and accepts a common caliber that is large enough for my needs and around $500 or less I'll probably buy it.
I have my P.A.L. and everything required to purchase so don't worry about that.
PM is key.
Thanks

Glad you made it and on the rifle thing, pick up an old FNC1=7.62 full metal jacket. Problem is they are over 500.00 I am sure.

Just go with a Desert Eagle. It's practically a rifle. I myself am picking one up in the next few weeks ..... I can hardly wait!

Just do lots of reading/research. I like the Fabrique Nationale due to it's heavy construction and quality build. Years ago a new one ran 1500.00 but know I do not know. We used the FN in the army until 84 when they phased them out for the plastic wonder C7 M16 whichever. You have peaked my interest so once I am done here I am going to hunt it down and see what they sell for these days.

I found the perfect one for the job, with a great demo to boot. You're welcome.
