High Speed Summer Thrills

I saw this ad on Kijiji today and thought I would share:

High Speed Summer Thrills - Toronto cars Cars For Sale - Kijiji Toronto

New summer job 1LOW03GT? .... They are in London!

Basically, for $249.99 you get to drag racing for a full day at Grand Bend Motorplex in 430HP Ford Mustang. "At the end of the day you will leave with a lifetime’s worth of memories and a commemorative hat and t-shirt".

I mean, not a bad deal if you don't own a Mustang and want to experience the thrill of the 1/4 mile.

We usually see him out almost every weekend. It's a pretty quick stang, and runs down the 1/4 mile pretty smooth too.
But one thing,it is powered by a bowtie

Come on .... there's a story here somewhere. How did GM "guts" (Zohan reference) fall into a Ford?

Well I had a 302 with a vortech ready to be installed with a c4. But when we were testing on our (engine) dyno it threw a rod. After all it was a stock high milage engine. We were trying to save costs to get this rental drag race car off the ground. Now what.
Let me say first that I am a Ford senior technician. A former SHM employee, my wife drives a Windstar, But once upon a time I had a camaro race car.
And since I still had the engine and trans from that car, collecting dust in the
corner the decision was quick and simple.
FYI its an easy install. Thats prob why its so common. Heck the headers are for a 69 camaro. And I must admit it works well. So well that we built a second identical car for these Driving experience events.
