best seats, or the best buys??
Really good seats really never go on sale, or are had for a "good price". its hard to do a bulk buy with seats, and that would be about the only way to get a discount.
As far as brand of seat, everyone has there own preferance. And, its gonna depend what you do with it, in regards to it being a "certified" seat, fixed back, reclineable, or head supports.
And, after all that, YOU need to try the seat. I've sat in some that I liked, some that I didn't, but everyone has there own taste in the way the sit fits. That and everyone is shaped different and requires different support areas.
Best thing I can tell you to do, is look for a couple styles that you likje that will suit your needs, and then try and get out and find people with them, that you can plunk you butt into. Thats gonna be the only way to decide if you like the seat or not.
If its gonna be an in and out thing, you can trim down alot of cost as you won't be looking for comfort so much, as its quick sprint drives, but they still need to fit you.
Hope that helps out some.

#1 on my list would be Sparco
#2 Corbeau
#3 Momo
As far as popular brand go. There are others such as Bribe, OMP, and then you also have some low budget ones, such as APC, etc.......
Stay away from the low budget ones. I wouldn't trust one in an accident.
Beware of buying on kijiji, or e-bay, unless its from a registed dealer to sell such products.
There are lots of fakes around, and they may seem like a deal, but again, who knows how they'd hold up in an accident.
