I know, I know.....

I'm trying to get it done as fast as I can, but I got the wifes car im working on as well.

I still need to do the rear end in the Stang.
Should I just get 28 Spline axles, and run the stock carrier, or should I get the 33 Spline and get a new carrier and locker....
What are after market 29 splines good for...?

That is why its not done I need to upgrade the rearend before I make a fool out of myself with the stocker..

I have Moser 31's and a LOC-RITE, Im not a huge fan of the locker. It works great at the track but it gets a little anoying on the street.
The stock posi will not hold up to sticky tires, even after a rebuild.
Im not sure if you can get anything other than a spool for 33 spline axles.
I have heard of peaple going mid 10's on after market 28's So the choice is yours, but you really cant go wrong with any aftermarke axle.

I went 11.8 leaving on a 125 shot with stock axles and ET Streets. I changed them to the 31's, and before I made a pass with them a stockish Mustang on normal radials broke an axle while I was 3 or 4 cars back in line, I though man am I glad I changed those. LOL

You don't need 33 spline axles. The aftermarket 28's are alot stronger than stock. That and put an extra clutch in the stock posi and it would work great.

I have a nice set of 28 spline mosers Brand new in the box. LOL

I will give you a screaming deal on them. $180 and they are yours!

Dasilva said aftermarket 28's would be able to handle a 1.5 60ft with no worries.

You won't be 60in better than 1.5's at Shannonville, unless you have a full drag suspension with an anti-roll bar and a big slick. Even then you would be doing damn good to hit mid 1.4's
