Lonestar 5.0 10-19-2011 02:49 PM

That is a good time. What is done to your car

StealthStang 10-19-2011 05:57 PM

Thanks not a whole lot. Stock longblock w/b cam, at the time GT40 intake, 90 mm massair, full exhaust , c4 gear and nitrous

SNAKEBITE 10-19-2011 06:11 PM

what is the difference between a short/long block. Is it the obvious lol

Short block is block and bottom end. A long block includes the heads.

Lonestar 5.0 10-20-2011 10:07 AM

Nice job that thing goes

SNAKEBITE 10-20-2011 05:07 PM

thanks for the answer

Lonestar 5.0 10-21-2011 11:10 AM

What does it run without the nos

SNAKEBITE 10-21-2011 05:11 PM

greased lightning I bet

StealthStang 10-22-2011 06:30 AM

it runs a 13.0 @ 105

Lonestar 5.0 10-22-2011 11:59 AM

Is that good? Did you pull a lot of weight out of your car

StealthStang 10-22-2011 01:23 PM

acording to some on this board no, and nope to any weight reduction she's full weight and mostly stockish

SNAKEBITE 10-23-2011 06:46 AM

From watching grassroots racing I think your time is respectable, congrats

Doesn't that get under your skin LOL!
It's amazing how the adder can aid the driver for good times.
Like you i am haunted by the 13 second mark (n/a), and can't get past it for the life of me no matter what i do. :banghead: LOL!

I'm a 13 second driver with what should be a mid 12 second car (but within reasons i should do some weight reduction, but i want 12's with full interior, just the way i drove off the street), and all i want is at least a 12.8, 12.9 slip!!! I'm not asking for much..... i think anyways. :?

SNAKEBITE 10-23-2011 04:34 PM

keep at it I say

Apocalypse Pony 10-24-2011 05:07 AM

Persistence pays off, practice makes perfect, and all those other things Mom used to say ! Chop down the reaction time and you're there.

StealthStang 10-24-2011 03:47 PM

Ya it gets to mee, but I was in the same position with my 95 z28. it ran a best of 13.0@106 with a 1.7 60'. I broke the rear trying to get it into the 12's. As for the stealthstang the old setup is hurt and next year will be a stronger motor in it. I love what he nos does for me and as I see it I am learning to handle more power when using it

SNAKEBITE 10-24-2011 05:28 PM

what part of the rear on the Z grenades?

StealthStang 10-24-2011 07:27 PM

The possi unit on mine exploded, spider gears blew to pieces, the large pin shierd and effed the gears. I duess the 7.5 10 bolt didnt like launching at 5000 rpm

As far as Chevy's go, I wouldn't be using anything other than the 12 bolt for any serious driving. That's about the only rear end they made that was any good.

StealthStang 10-25-2011 05:30 AM

Ya well it didnt have one in and went boom lol. It however contained itself inside the carrier, took me like over a hour to unjam one of the partial spider gears lmao

Lonestar 5.0 10-25-2011 07:35 AM

That does not sound very fun at all.

SNAKEBITE 10-25-2011 03:40 PM

with my add it would have gone into the garbage lol

StealthStang 10-25-2011 04:37 PM

it was a fast car though, ended up trading it for the way slower but loaded 1997 mustang gt

SNAKEBITE 10-25-2011 06:43 PM

sounds like a win

StealthStang 10-25-2011 10:49 PM

It was, I absolutely love driving the 97. For power its a turd but it handles well and its a stick so its fun on the street. Also gets about 400km per tank

SNAKEBITE 10-26-2011 02:42 PM

double win lol

StealthStang 10-26-2011 03:20 PM
