With a 1.7 60', I doubt he's running a stock tire.

A shot of spray will get you there for sure. Have you done gears yet?

Oh Man it's been a long time since I had the coupe to the track (4-5 year)..
I started to feel bad when I noticed it twisting!!
I was getting kicked off after each pass for no roll cage.
Off the top of my head
245 defender hrx radial tire 13.6xx 1.89 101mph 60' on the motor
hoosier dirt boss 13.4x 1.7 60' 99mph on the motor
ET street 13.006 low1.7 60' 102mph (new mac exaust front to back and so madd it wouldn't go 12's)
ET street 12.4xx high1.6 60' 107mph ssm lowers, 100 dry shot no spray in 4th(low fuel press)
Since then I have changed the suspension to the eiboch drag kit with 90/10's and 50/50's with an air bag and added a pusher pump so now it sprays in 4th.
The car should go high 11's now but I feel so bad twisting the car. I didn't even start it this year, and only drove it for a month last year.
The Mach went 12.902 @108.75mph with a 2.011 60' on the goodyears, xpipe with cats, a cat back, K&N. The next pass was better but they forgot to set the clocks.

Well leave harder. WHat RPM are you launching at? 1.7 is pretty good for stock motor/suspension car. I use to leave at 5200 in my 86, just before the valves started to float, but I still went slow than your car.
