Your GT500 would have had Goodyears stock.

Haha that's ok I'm assuming they aren't on your car now.

SNAKEBITE Nov 12, 2011 10:41 PM

yeah I still have the F1's on and I assume they will rot off before needing replacements. Right now they have 2400 miles on them with 10/32nds (still new) go figure.

ChadStang Nov 12, 2011 10:43 PM

^ that makes your previous comment much funnier being that they are on your car. 10/32 is damn near new for sure.

no spinnage equals new tehehehe. I thought about new rubber when I switched rims but decided to stay the same with my driving habits

Makes sense but I think I hated the Goodyears on my GT500 more than on my 2000. Traction was non existant and they were noisy as hell.

This probably isn't much help as I don't remember the offset, but I ran 255/60 on my '85 LX back in the day. I kept the quads, and had no clearance issues with either the quads, or the fender lip. At the time, I was using the stiffest control arms available (South Side Machine) and relocation brackets. My quads were worn out, and even with these control arms, I was getting some hop. I replaced the quad shocks with some aftermarket ones, and that was the end of my wheelhop problems.

thanks for the info, do you remember what wheels you had on at the time?

roddy Nov 15, 2011 05:39 AM

They were just a generic (cheap) set of 15X8 cast 5 spoke wheels. I believe the company was Sendel. I wish I could remember the offset/backspacing, as that would be of more help to you.
