went to grand bend

went to grand bend...what a joke! that track doesn't hook any better than st. thomas and there's soooooooo many people it's ridiculous! i got one "decent" run in real street. 2.3 60ft (normal street radials), with the 3.73s i was through first and second in no no time, saw 5 and 7psi respectively, was going 90mph in the 8th, 3 and saw 15psi, grabbed 4th and just as it passed 12psi I blew an intercooler hose and the car started wobbling like a motorcycle going through a high speed wobble...had to let off or i would of hit the wall....still finished with a 13.1@ almost 116mph lol

rules for real street are that you can't pop the hood, but they let me try and put the intercooler hose back on...trying to get it back on i broke the joint where one of my bends was glued on....night over for me....

so i made a long drive, never got a full pass, and went home very annoyed....still happy with the mph i got letting off

Damn only one run in!
what a waste of time and money.
Sorry to hear about your luck, but at least your happy with the MPH..
What do you think it would have ran on a good pass?

with the mile per hour i had in the 8th i think i could have been solidly in the 120+MPH range, which would translate into a good 11 second pass on slicks....
i made to other runs, but with no boost i had to pull out...

^Shoulda came to St. Thomas, great time with a bunch of stangs and the TT guys were getting at least 2 runs/hr. GB is terrible for runs cuz' it's so busy, not a great track either-just bigger.
Did you drive the stang there?

you have to be there during a large even like top sportsman classes to get a real good hook, we went the day after one of their huge events (at GB) and i've never seen a track stick as well as it did that day

the weather being cold didn't help anything either

i had never been to gb before so i thought i'd give it a shot. i had to drive up because of the class i was in (a lot of strict rules in real street). it'll be st. thomas from now on for me though
