05 wheel hop

05 wheel hop
I have an 05 GT that has the worst wheel hop. I am pretty sure that means I should be looking for a good set of lower control arms. I just want to eliminate the problem before I start breaking u-joints. I think Ford really cheaped out on the bushings for the control arms. Any advice from someone whos been in my spot before would be awesome thanks.

That being said do you have any suspension mods at all? I would suggest getting some solid lca's and an adjustable uca at the same time. Those were all I needed to get rid of the wheel hop.

Which way did you have to push the pinion angle? My suspension is totally stock as i drive my car all year long. Im not sure if i want to lower it due needing some ground clearance in the winter. If I bought a good set of LCAs and an adjustable UCA is it ok to use them now with all stock suspension parts and later if i lower the car? Thanks for all the help.

You should be able to use a set of lca's and an adjustable uca with the stock suspension and then lowered, no problem. If you do lower the car in the future you might want to look into getting a set of "weld in" not bolt in lca relocation brackets(steeda makes really good ones) but those wont be needed unless you lower it more than 1". I would also suggest using pieces that use bushings not poly rod ends. Unless you are going full drag car then noise they make will drive you nuts vs the extra stability.

My '07 V6 5-speed hops bad! I can't jump on it in first (either from a stop, or a roll-on), and even a hard shift to 2nd does the same. In the rain, it is unbearable. Even a gentle attempt at leaving a stoplight in the rain produces lots of this: . The rear has 3.73s/w Auburn carrier, solid LCA (poly bushings). Everything else is stock. I'm thinking about an adjustable UCA, but don't know if it will cure the evil hop.
