7.5 to a 8.8 Question.

OK so here is the question. I have the 88 notch which I was going take the 4 cyl out and put a 5.0 in. Well I just picked up the 1984 SVO, and it is pretty much turn key, at least I believe so. The previous owner SVOrob from GTAMC drove it all summer and even had it down to Kentucky at some SVO show, and said it runs real well. So I am thinking it should go through a safety without too much trouble and I plan on driving it a lot next summer along with my 88 GT. So my problem is, this puts the notch on the back burner for a bit. There is NO plans on parting with any of them , none, nada, zip, zilch, not a friggin chance. I love every one of them. Right now I have the SVO in the garage at my house and the blue notch outside under a cover. Now I have a 8.8 with 3:73's I was getting ready to put in the notch when this SVO came up and upset all my plans. But I like the fact that I can fire up the blue notch and pull it out and bring the SVO in when I want to tinker with it. So I am apprehensive about putting the 8.8 in because I don't want to have push it in and out of the garage. ( finally question here) If I put the 8.8 in will the drive shaft bolt right up to it and will I still be able to drive it in and out of the garage or is it too long, too short and is the yoke end a different bolt pattern or size ? Remember I have been a lifelong mopar guy and all this ford stuff is new ..... Be nice to me .

The 7.5,and 8.8 are the same in all areas as for bolting in for a swap,so everything will line right up for you.
