Almost cried

I went to start ripping apart the car. When i got there i pulled the cover off and hooked up battery.Well i got in to start it.It rolled over and started and turned right back off normal after its long sleep. So i try again and it roles over but sounds like theres no oil in it real grindy sounding so i stop rolling it over let it sit for a min try again and its louder. So i unhooked battery almost cried and started checking stuff out.I didnt see anything outa the ordinary.I then was tring to remember if i drained everything and thats why but i didnt i filled it with clean oit b4 i put it away.
The sound it made would make the hair on your back stand up it was so loud and not very good sounding. So i went back up today and tried again with the familys fingers crossed it didnt even barly role over and it started right up thankfully.I thought for sure it was seizing so im happy now so i let it warm up and run for a few minutes. Then puled on the road and blasted it up moms steet and pulled it back in the shop and turned the heat up to defrost it over night.

Just thought id post this see if anyone else has ever had that problem or a scare like that the first time after you take the car outa storage.I think what it was maybe was some moisture in the starter???I heard it can do that sometimes i couldnt believe the sound thou wow.I hope every1 has better luck when they pull there ride out.LOL

Thats odd, glad its o.k now though

This is the first year I have stored a Fuel injected vehicle. Nice thing about Carb vehicles is you can roll them over a couple times before you give them gas. Gives them a chance to get some oil pressure. Was thinking about making the 04 un-able to start so I could crank it a couple times before I start it. Haven't decided yet.

Damn that scary stuff!
Glad it's all good though.I haven't had any issue to date with starting my '03 GT after it's winter sleep.....Knock on wood LOL!
She fired up everytime without any hesitation, and purrrrr'd while i let her idle before driving her out of the garage.:)
Even my old '85 GT,and it never had a choke LOL!

I HATE the way my 04 rev's up when you start it. I can just imagine that after sitting all winter :(

It should just be a slight high rev, then within seconds come down.
