A good plan is to get everything you need from gears,diff girdle,axles,and what ever else you want to beef up the rear internally,and do it all in one shot.

Thanks for the input. It's just the car has been sitting for 3 years. And guy does not know the last time the oil was changed. So I was just thinking of doing new oil in the diff. Gears may come later. See how much I like the car. If I really get into mustangs then I may just fix it up for the wife.

And get myself a newer one with the new 5.0 motor in it.

Sounds like you have great plans of bringing back a nice Pony. Hopefully you can post pics of the progress. I miss my 90gt but that's another story.
