Post Difficult Driveshaft

This is going to sound dumb...I am having trouble taking out the driveshaft, the guys at Mr. Transmission must have torqued those bolts tight! how did you guys take yours out? long box-end 12mm wrench? breaker bar??

Please let me know.

It is the biggest pain in the ***!!!!
It's not ONLY did they torque them down but I can almost garantee they also used permanent loc-tite on them as well!
12mm Box end wrench yes and possibly a hammer and a breaker bar. But the biggest thing your gonna need is HEAT, go get a small propane torch and heat the SOB up and start cranking it'll be off in no time

Hope this helps.

If you go to ford and buy brand new drive shaft bolts they come with loc tite on them! I know this cause last year I bought them new from Ford!
It is a MUST to put Permanent loc tite on them, this has nothing to do with torquing. Once you heat these right up and burn the loc tite off you can pretty much use a large ratchet to remove them.

ahh you are wrong i can`t even begin to tell you how wrong you are if you do not torque your bolts you can put all the loctite you want on them it is a saftey measure made cars for years no loctite but never without torquing bolts and what do you think the odds of the guys at Mr.Transmisson putting new bolts from ford are I bet you they did not most shops will just reuse what they took out.I have worked at many shops and seen almost no one change bolts unless they break or strip them almost 20 years as class A dads class a brothers are class a sons class a tell me Im wrong
