rear end oil suggestions

Before you go to the trouble of changing the fluid, maybe try put in a bottle of the Ford friction modifier. That is the additive for the fibre material in the Traction-Lok clutch packs. Grabby clutches is usually what causes the chattering, and it can sometimes be cured by dumping in a 4 ounce bottle of the additive. Motorcraft number CXL-3, $5.27 + tax at your local dealer.
If that doesn't fix it, replace the fluid with some good synthetic product, with a bottle of the friction modifier added.

Yes Friction Modifier will likely do the trick. I can't remember the brand I used on my truck, but I purchased it at Bumper-to-Bumper, and imo it worked better than the modifier I purchased from the Ford dealership.

The official Ford stuff is the best on the market. I have been using it in all makes of limited slip diffs for years. I use Amsoil gear lube, and when I installed my 8.8 last year, I decided to try their "slip-lok" additive as well...not as good. When the rear end is hot, I still get a bit of clutch chatter. I know if I had used the Ford additive, I would not hear this.
Oh, don't get any on 'ya... That stuff is bar none the stinkiest automotive fluid out there, and it doesn't wash away easily.
