Rear ends.

Hey guy, I need some help here. My next project is a 95 v6 stang. I and installing, and motor out of my recently departed supercoupe. I was talking to some people and the told me that I could get that car in the low 14's stock. But that won't work for me. I have a group of friends telling me that I am wasting my time doing this, but I want something different. My question is can i put a posi unit and gears in the stock rear-end (which I think is a 7.5)Or can I install an 8.8 out of foxbody (I have a coupel laying around). What can I do? Also is there anyone in Canada that sells engine preformace parts for the supercoupe motor? I have found some in the U.S.

Thanks
Joe

Im pretty sure the fox body 8.8 housing is the same length as the 95, you should be able to just swap all your disk brake stuff and axles on it and bolt it in. If you have one there give it a quick measure to make sure.

Joe, I think that you have to go to the U.S. SC-specific vendors like Super Coupe Performance or Spinning Wheels-SC to get any performance parts. I've been involved with the SCs for about 8 years here in Ontario, and am not aware of any vendors up here who are catering to those cars / engines.

Morana Racing in Scarborough did have a bit of stuff, but I think his focus is more on carb'd 3.8 applications.

cheers
