Where to buy a complete rear axle housing?
Anyone know where I can buy one that will ship to or better is located in Canada? I am looking for this. Ford Racing 2005-2010 Mustang GT 3.73 Axle Assembly. Seem to sell for around the same price as the parts I am buying to rebuild mine. I could install this myself and save money.

Yeah but I think new take offs are going to be 3:55 no?
depends what they have.a gt 500 rear could have a 3.73 and 31 spline axles.someone could have also popped for an upgraded gear.
most are 3.55 but 3.73 did come on gt s but if you can get a rear end form a gt500 you get 31 splin axles
I have a feeling finding what I am looking for in Canada is going to be tough.
Too many unknowns with used stuff like that - I'd go new if you've got the cash, but that's just me. Pretty easy to spend someone else's money :lol
Yeah I want new and know exactly what I want but no one seems to ship it to Canada. And it seems Ford is not producing them anymore.
This is what I want. Ford Racing Performance Parts - [Part Details] |
That's odd - have you tried going through a Ford dealer to get it? My understanding is that's as good a place as any?
I will check with a dealer today but ford stopped producing them. Now they come with a 3:55.
Gotcha - best of luck man. Good looking parts, sounds like you're building a monster!!

right now iv got 373 in the stock 7.5 and its not realy happy about the 207 hp over stock so i have a 8.8 to put in then ill put 4.10s in that in the spring. id like to put a 5.4 in my car at some point but we will see
Best I have done is 13.2 at 108 with a 1.99 60'. That's with 300whp. Hoping to break into 11's come spring with 460-500 whp.
on the dyno i made 333 hp and 343 tq to the wheels ,est fly wheel hp is 417 stock is 210 inside the motor is all stock.
if you think a 4.10 is too much then switching to a 3.73 isn't going to be that different imho and not worth the expense.if you are going to have 500rwhp then a 3.55 is probably what your after.did you say you have awhine in the rear end now?you will get a slight whine with any 410 is just the nature of gears.the faster you turn them the more whine you get.going to a 3.55 will be quieter than a 3.73 in most cases.also the weights on the rear end are there to attenuate noise vibrations. as is the stock driveshaft design.
do you want 3.55????? i have not put my rear end in my car yet it trade you rear ends start up if you want????
No I am good with the 3.73. It's not that I find the 4.10 to much really. It's more once the procharger goes in it might be.
ok sounds good
