The shorties should work fine with the stock H pipe but if you are already doing headers I would replace the midpipe to get the most out of the header swap. Should be a cool swap.

I'm not to familiar with the speed shops in Barrie, but I got a set of pacesetter long tubes from Jim's Speed shop here in London and they were $406.00 tax in.

My understanding is back in the day they were crap, but that goes back 10-20 years I believe. They come painted black, but its not a high temp. So for about 30 bucks and a couple hours of your time you can paint them urself with stuff from crappy tire. and you get to choose the colour instead of boring chrome or silver!! Not that I should talk, I painted mine black hahaha. There was no problems getting them to bolt up. Engine still hasn't been installed yet so I cant report on the fit in the bay. But then again I'm doing a 4v swap into a 03 GT. So nothing's made to fit haha. But I will let you know! Take Care, Yellowragtop.

There mild steel with a coating. The coating will peel and rust so coat them well. I have not read any dyno number or hear about great gains with those headers.

If you don't mind shipping out o the US, a guy on modular fords is selling Mac stuff for $400 which is pretty cheap.
