i know it's not an HP adder, but gears and t-loc are good as well. most here will tell you to get 4.10's for your 4.6L
underdrive pully's are good, a decent cold air intake with a tune will do wonders as well. some people say they get quite the difference.

maybe even look at doing a bullitt intake swap. i think 1low03gt did that one. it looks sick

Do you plan on racing this stang, or is this just for cruising and the odd street battle?

Pulleys are a great affordable start. If you have the money i would say exhaust because our stock manifold=crap. Exhaust will probably get you a good 30hp with CAI

Deft start with opening up the air way. Full exhaust and intake with throttle body and plenum. To start with. That will run around a g or a little more. Gears are a awesome start as well like crafty said not a power adder but youll deft notice the difference. A good tunner as well but im not even sure what one to get lol.

Save your money for a supercharger.....By FAR the best BANG for your buck....Ad up the cost of say..exhaust=$500-$700 just for a good catback + gears= $250+ $300 or more to have them installed right+CAI=$200 or more.Pulleys=$200, Say you want headers aswell...There is another $250-$1000 depending on what kind and if they're longtube or shortube. Then you will have to get an x or h pipe which will be another $250-$600 piece.
Oh and you will need to TUNE the car after these mods so look at another $250+....
Add it all up and you're looking at around $3000 and that's without labour to install everything. This may be an extreme amount but alot of people do all of these things FIRST to bling up their car and don't realize that for a few bucks more they could have 140+ horsepower MORE..Rather than the MEASLY 40 horsepower for 3000 dollars.
Look for a GOOD USED supercharger kit...There are plenty over on the Corral.net
Even brand new a Vortech kit can be had for around $4000can or even under that for a COMPLETE KIT.You can install these yourself.

X2, save your cash and get a blower. I bought a 2001 Bullitt and the first mod I did was a vortech v2sq. I bought a tuner kit and with some research I found the smaller pieces like 42lb injectors, mass air ect used which brought the price down compared to a full kit with all the parts. My car has 360 hp to the rear wheel.
