I'd be all over the 5.0. If I had a good offer on my car I'd probably sell it for a new 5.0 and top it with a blower.

i defiantly like the drive train and interior from the new 2011+ stangs but think they are getting to rounded on the front and back end and are starting to look a little like the new camaros so as it sits im not interested in the body :bleh:, but the drive train is a hole other mater :tup

Weird as I get older I will actually think before doing something impulsive. I would love to pick up a new 392 Challenger but no way i am handing out another 50 large for something I rarely use. To the point, there is no way I would trade my Snake for a new GT. I could save a ton o dough by picking up a Whipple or KB s/c and getting our bad boys up to 800+ hp. Think how much we would lose on a trade and then the new GT would take a kicking in a few years when it is traded for the newest latest great Mustang.

Your call but I say keep the Snake:tup

I agree, I can live with the front end treatment but the back...not so much. Never in the history of Mustangs has there been a rounded rear end...not a fan. The 5.0, I would consider putting one in my '06 some day.

Good points for sure but I am fortunate enough to be able to buy at wholesale prices so I don't lose out too bad when I sell them. I'm not saying I will do it but if the price was right I would sell my car. For the past few days I've been driving an 11 GT w/ Brembo's as a demo and it sure feels light and tight compared to the 07. I'm hoping to get my 3.73's, cai, and program done this weekend and then I think my car will feel totally different. I really think the next bodystyle will be what I will look for next. Suppossed to be lighter and more power, and I'm sure there will be an SVT model of some kind.

well iv had a thought put to me by a friend, after we were at a svt dealer checking out the new Gt500. He suggested instead of doing up my 4.6 or doing up a 5.0 i should think about putting a 5.4 supercharged crate motor in, as his thoughts there is no replacement for displacement so to u Gt500 guys is the 5.4supercharged that much better then a 4.6 supercharged or would i just be better at looking a upgrading to a gt500 since it already has a good list of the upgrades i want to put on my gt, any help or info to help me make a decision would be help full. Thanks

Oh if you buy a crate motor I would not shop for one at Ford Racing as they want approx 23,000.00 for the complete unit

Go for the GT500 dude, sounds like it's got everything you want, second choice would be the 5.0 crate motor, or 5.0 crate motor supercharged, third choice would be a built 4.6 supercharged, unless you did a 5.4 supercharged, in which case you're back to the GT500 again. Ford Racing's got some kinky stuff, but spend the cash on the GT500 and you can build it even higher!

well i said good bye to my 2007 black gt, and said hello to a new 2012 race red gt, with 5.0L, 6 speed, bembro brake kit, track pack suspension, 373 diff, 19' rims with 255/40 tires, rear side window louvers and rear side scoops, rear pedestal spoiler and hood scoop. I cant believe how much more pull the new 5.0 has over the 3v 4.6:tup
