Thats why a lot of guys weld the internal wastegates closed and choose a more reliable and easily tuneable exterior unit. As far as intercooler goes I said IC, meaning Intercooler Cores. Sorry for the mix up. Gearing does not change your power band. Gearing only affects speed in relation to engine rpm and tire revolutions. Not power band. Stang Seller I love your passion for turbos, maybe we will meet some time at a show and continue chatting about various turbo techniques.
I know the gears dont change the power band, I used it for lack of better brain function.:laughhard I meant it in relation to speed vs engine RPM, since you have less RPMs to utilize you would need to have taller gears to make up for the loss in tire revolutions. Well put though . By IC cores, you are right in a sense (and for the record, usually when you write IC the general consensus that I have found is that it means Inter Cooler). I know some guys using a regular IC with single inlet and outlet with a Y pipe beforehand, and others that have twin inlets and a single outlet.
And I do love turbo's, they have changed the way I eat live and breathe. I cannot wait to get back in my car to make some passes, so maybe we'll get a chance to meet up at the track and shoot the between runs

I know how mark is planing on doing his twin setup and its realy not that hard to do if u plan it all out over time.

I have some good help ( Rougevette ) and few other people that have given me the pros & cons. but 2 T4s and megasquert setup is the way i will be going.

I probably have no business in this thread LOL....

But I guess I am running a turbo setup on the street... Mine is running 4 less cyls, but i've been at this thing pretty much all winter, tuning, swapping EECs, adding some better stuff, porting the ex manifold and turbo, and it's running pretty strong now. Have had it out for a couple 21-22 PSI blasts on VP 100 unleaded, and I think it might actually just pull off some 12.90s on the stock untouched longblock, once I get some lighter wheels [skinny fronts etc] and slicks. Even 2nd gear is useless as far as traction and street tires go once you get into boost.. Did some weight removal [not done yet] and so far got 181 LBs our of it. I want to have it around 2900 with me. Want to get an EEC Tuner or Tweecer for it and go with a MAF at some point soon too.. VAM setup will work for now though.

Well, my car is finally back on the road. I havent had a chance to let her rip thanks to the wonderful spring weather . My air filter got soaked in slush thanks to my missing inner fenders! Not running all that great, lots of little tuning to do but hopefully I'll have her going a little better this week. Also have to change my mufflers and route the wastegate exhaust into the downpipe. Hopefully all this is done for the 24th

I would cut the mufflers open and run a straight pipe StangSeller. That way you avoid any inspection hassles and you run what turbos like, no backpressure. Oh you should get those wastegates buttoned up asap. If you are not venting the wastegate exhaust properly it will lead to failure.
I can't wait to unleash my turbo monster this summer. Four or five turbo stangs cruising is a sound to behold indeed!
