89notchback 02-24-2007 11:22 PM

Thanks for the comments. I know I need to get her on the car, theres just so much welding going on right now. My cross over pipe and my headers are at my welders getting the final welds done. I need to get the flange for the turbo and finish the IC piping, external wastegate, and downpipe.

I'm going to post the whole build so far as soon as I have all my parts back, so stay tuned. thumb:

If this is going in a street car maybe you should of went with a blower but for each their own, hope it all works out good.

I'm hoping to have it done for June. I have to get a few more fuel components and some other odds and ends. :tup

I think its going to need alot of tuning, so I have to find a tuner that can set it on a chassis dyno. :rockwoot:

94stang 03-17-2007 11:59 PM

dyno

Its an external wastegate. This one is called a Racegate cuz it can support up to 1000 hp. Not that I'll need that much but I got a great deal on it rockon:

I was told he cant do turbo cars yet

Scones 03-22-2007 12:15 PM

He's offered to do mine, so I'd have to assume he can now.

Schlodes 03-22-2007 04:06 PM

Joel in Windsor CAN do your turbo car.

T04B... so what trim is that compressor wheel, looks like an "S" and the exact same one I got in my hybrid for my SVO.

Did you get a compressor map with it?

That would be cool if Joel can do it. rockon:

The turbo is a S-trim, and I later found out it has a T-3 hotside so I'm thinking its a T3/T4 hybrid.

So I have been looking for a Turbocoupe for a while, so if I end up finding one I might stick it in there and buy a Master Power T-70 for the race car.

I'll see what happens. thumb:

Schlodes 03-23-2007 12:06 PM

Well, that compressor is capable of about 37 lbs/min and on a stock intake/heads/cam 302 cube motor will run out of steam around 12-13 psi.

You couldn't spool that thing up on a 2.3L because the turbine wheel and housing were designed with 302 cubes in mind [two 2.3s basically].

Should be a nice quick spool turbo thumb:

89notchback 03-23-2007 03:48 PM

I was thinking of using my old 75hp Zex nitrous kit to try and help with the spooling. Dont know yet. I have to find a car first.

V10STANG 04-22-2007 08:38 AM

Can't wait to see her done.rockon:
