now thats cool, seems simple enough though but cool that someone did it. I love the black valve covers and blower guard, keeps the theme of the MACH I very nice. :tup

That is very cool.

I really like the fact that the guy had the balls to do the mod...but it's a shame that the car no longer retains the functional shaker.

Lideo just finished a KB install that retains the true shaker set up, so the scoop is attached to the motor/air box, not the hood.

Yeah..the KB is mondo expensive...but when you pop the hood..still looks like a Mach.

Have to agree on the shaker setup, BUT you have to love seeing that eaton just jumping out at you!!!

I heard the KB setup is over 7 g's... ouch

Would like to see some numbers though to see how much the gain for the pain is???

Bubba_Lane 12-20-2004 09:03 PM

i dont like it

I think the KB Lideo installed delivered something like 450rwhp!!!

So call it a 175 rwhp gain?

And that was 7K US.

Actually car dynoed @ 560 rwhp!! so your looking at a gain of 250+ to the rear.

Yeah...I was going from memory (which appears to be slipping)...I do remember that most comments were concerned about the bottom end and tranny holding up.

560 at the wheels would explain that.

trickflow jay 12-30-2004 12:35 PM

no concerns over the short now.. its forged.

BIZ 12-31-2004 04:08 PM

very nice numbers...to me seems like a lot of work but to each there own...

trickflow jay 12-31-2004 05:08 PM

not really..blower catback injectors tune that was before the short it still put down 500 but now has the good short for 600++

1low03gt 01-22-2005 10:08 AM

I think that si so cool.Total sleeper!! :D

91mgt 01-22-2005 10:52 PM

i am NOT a fan of the bumper change to the 03/04 Cobra bumper though. The rest is cool, but the bumper ruins it for me. If he wanted a Cobra he should have bought one instead of the 04 Mach1

The hp improvement is damn cool though! +250 hp! wow

ummm. no. Mach 1's are NOT sleepers to begine with. If it was dressed up as a V6 Mustang ok sure, but a Mach 1 sleeper with a faux hood scoop and 03/04 bumper, no.

89LXBlack 01-22-2005 11:50 PM

I like it.

I'd love it if he kept it Mach 1 on the outside. :tup

Just curious, with the Mach 1 being 10.1:1 compression, will that pose any problems with the blower addition? What is the comp ratio on the Cobra?

Cobras are lower not sure on the exact number. They have stronger bottom ends too.

I would be hesitant to put a blower on my mach1.

I find it strange that auto Mach's have a cast crank, while the manuals have forged. I would assume the forged crank motor would be able to take more, but at 10:1?:dunno

I just did some research, the Cobra runs a 8.5:1 compression.
