Need advice re S/c

Hi guys, I am new to the forums and new to mustang life. Yes I am a newbie but still ask for advice and input in increasing the yip to my stang. I have an 08 GT Bullitt and have been thinking about adding some HP. I don't race or drag just want to have fun with the toy. I have been talking to the boys at Sean Hyland and they suggest Kenne Bell non intercooled. Other friends have said to go with Pro-charger, Being the newbie I ask for some guidance and suggestions. My goal is to have a ride that I can have fun with doing some upgrades with out making my baby hard to enjoy or drive. Reliability is paramount. I am not looking for upgrades that require endless tuning and tweaking but would like something that I can feel free to go for a drive with my sweettie on the weekends and just have a blast. So please give the new guy a hand in making a decision with modifications. I have about $12,000 to spend on exhaust and engine this year and plan body upgrades for the next year. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome aboard. I am the clean freak here so I can't help with the tech stuff. I was thinking of a Bullitt in 08 but good things come to those that wait. My wife and I picked up a 2009 GT500 in Jan. It has an Eaton s/c and God do I love the whine. Good luck with the mods

I would go KB for your application but here is a link to a comparison.

Thanks for the feed back. I feel better about the Kenne Bell system now.
Two other questions though -

1) for my needs is it recommended to go with inter-cooling

2) is this something my local Ford dealer can install or am I best to take it to a mod shop

I always like the dealership route. I know the SVT dealer where I bought the 09 GT500 does s/c installs. Not sure about the average Ford dealer though

KB says their kits do not require an intercooler, however you could go with a water/meth injection system if you were nervous about it.

Why not try EastGate Ford in Hamilton. They sell Rousch superchargers and come with warranty

First of all Welcome to CMOC.ca glad to have new people. Don't feel out of place being a newbie

Second of all....coming from a current Procharger owner I would never buy another one EVER again, they are a **** poor design they leak, junk seals and Procharger has the absolute WORST custom service ever!
Kennebell or turbo is going to be my next hit.... You will loose about 80% of your HP running a blower setup, were turbo is 100% free HP.
Don't buy a centrifugal blower.

I'm only saying this from experience.

Hope this helps, and BTW you want a intercooler cooler air = less boost but same or more HP's

Talked to Wayne at Sean Hyland and have pretty well made the decision to go with his recommendations of Kenne Bell stage 1

Sean Hyland Motorsport - Kenne Bell Supercharger Kits - Ford Mustang GT

I have also been looking around at other posts on CMOC about exhaust choice's and it appears there are hugely different love and hates relations going on in reference to which systems have the right sound combined with performance. Again I believe I am going to rely on Wayne's choice of Ford racing axle back - I think its by Borola

Again I really appreciate the comments and suggestions as they have helped me make more informed decisions.

+1 on the Borla Stingers. Make sure they are the real thing and not the Ford Racing Stingers.
