yea me too roddy.i just unpacked it 10 minutes ago.WOW!IT'S FREAKIN SWEET! it's like xmas.i got my boss 429 hoodscoop ,my upr catchcan,my stainless upr hydraulic hood lift kit and my aem wideband o2 sensor and gauge.we gotta get all the guys together at a track this summer.grandbend or cayuga.did you see the pics of the intake all frozen up?
damn it was cold.listen i have an idea for cooling the x for 1/3 the price of the official xcharger version and it will work great.pm me if your interested.

Wow...nice list of toys. I still have to get a catch can, and a wideband O2 sensor. I'm pretty sure I will go with the UPR catch can, but I'm not sure about the gauge yet. I really like the analog ones over the digital ones. (such as innovate motorsports #3801, or autometer ultralite #4370) I saw the pics of the intake, and laughed my *** off at the cold beer one. Using the recessed caps for adding the dry ice was a good idea...looks sharp. How long do you figure the dry ice will last with the engine running? PM me your X cooler idea when you get some time. thanks

i look at it this way,regular ice has to be changed /drained and new added every run.this dry ice will last a couple hours plus you don't have to drain it ,it just sublimates into the air so just add more if you need it.it is also about -38degf on the surface of the manifold.ice water is above 32deg f and heats up quickly.also with my manifold there is a spacer/insulator underneath the manifold to transition the round runners to oval ports of the heads.it is made of 3/4inch thick phenolic material so engine heat won't affect it much.it's all good.keep in mind the dry ice is a track only mod unless you want to fill it all the time.

well i got the vortech installed today.started with the 8lb pulley and standard tune and ended with the 10lb pulley and HO tune.it runs good but needs work as far as the shift firmness goes.my N/A tune was far more torquey down low and would kick this vortechs butt for the first 300-400feet .it shifted like a bear aswell.the vortech tune has this tranny sliding into the next gear.YUCH!!! i will be putting the air to air intercooler on this week and getting a 12 psi or 14 psi pulley(2.87 and 2.62 inch respectively) and see what that does for me.i know i will love it when i'm done figuring it out but for now ,not so much.

Good to see it up and running. When you get it dynotuned, the person tuning it should be able to dial in the shifts where and how you want them. I'm heading to T.O. on the 14th to get mine done. I think another S/C V6 is going to join me, and dyno 2 X-chargers back to back. His is an Auto. If you're ready by then, and can make the drive, it would be cool to see the Vortech and Eaton results from the same dyno on the same day. Even if the intercooler, and "the freezer" do give you a distinct advantage...
