Supercharging a stock 4.6L

I was wondering your guys inputs on supercharging a stock 4.6L with 90,000kms on it. It is a eaton m112 supercharger and The intake manifold and belt drive is from tork tech.

I would think you should be fine as long as you don't get crazy with the boost

1low03gt 11-15-2012 09:39 PM

Keep the boost down, and you will be good. Plenty of guys run a blower/supercharger of some sort without issues on a stock 4.6L.

Hey GT E UPP, how many klicks did you have on yours when you got Whippled? How many now? I want to get a 440 whipple or roush 470 kit once I'm paid up on the car and I dont seem to get to many answers as far as mileage goes. I'd still drive the car around 2000-5000 klicks per year.

GT rods will hold 450 HP. I'm doing an eaton swap on my Mach 1 powered fox.

I'm not asking how much power my motor can handle I'm asking how long has it lasted at that power level, but it seems all supercharged 4.6's are garage queens.

Hey Def...I got "Whippled" around 55,000 km's and I'm currently at 115,000 km's without any problems what so ever. It's my summer daily driver at 125 Km's per day and all is still well !! I'm looking for a little more WHP, so to be safe, I'm upgrading my Short Block
to a Brenspeed B326 Stroker and Heads to Ford Racing CNC Ported over the winter months. You will be fine and have fun !! :tup
