i have alot of DIY stuff if your interested, im with the rest of the guys with there opions there is many many things to look @..
example 1: 306 r block , out of the box rpm heads, motorsport shotie headers fliped, gt-40 lower with hogans upper, 83lbs injectors, 3:27 gear with a lentech aod and an 8.8 rear stock style suspention 8.80 @ 160mph. and a1.22 60 ft.
as for the cam it was a very old ron anderson br4 hydralic camshaft, made 1002 rwhp
oh ..75mm tb. and small vortec rails... turbo was a 91mm turbonetics, and air/air spearco intercooler 3" inlet and outlets, basicly nothing that the regular joe cant buy with a minum wage job... DIY all the way for me..

Wow thats a sweet *** ride wheels :thumb1:

As for my 331 rotating kit I have decided to sell it and my brother greatfully offered to take it off my hands. I'm going to step up to a Windsor block and go from there. I also sold the GT-40p heads in favor of aluminum ones. Other than that I have recently back-halfed the car with a mini tub to try and get her to leave straight and stay straight. The car is all torn a part right now so I'm glad I have the winter to get her done.

I have been working 2 jobs so its hard to work on it and visit this site. Damn I miss this site. As soon as I get pics of everything I will post them up and you guys can let me know what you think.

Thanks again for the suggestions guys I appreciate it :thumb1:

I agree with speed to spare, the aluminum heads are a wise investment, a T66 turbo is a little small for your goals, something in a 76mm will work, gt-42, or a t-76 will be good for around 900 hp, an air to water cooler is good for a track only car, air to air for a street but if its a race car, dont worry about it just use an air to water.
The exhaust doesnt really have much to do with it, just run an open dump, 4" should be fine
WHEELS, you said you believe in DIY but isnt that tags old car???? Or are you just talking about it in general, Ive seen your new car as well, pretty nice looking piece.

Well I bought a '71 351W out of a good old Ford truck. I have decided to back it by a Liberty Pro Shifted T-5 5 speed. I am also looking into a T76 turbonectics turbo.

So with what I have done to the car and the new drivetrain I am sure we can hit the 9's with a little work done to the engine and a whole lot of hard work.

Pics will be up as soon as everything is ready. Damn I cant wait

its going to cost a few bucks to machine that block for roller internals.

I'm a modular guy so I'll stay out of the engine debate but I'd go Ford 9" above 700rwhp.
