3.8L V6 Motor?

Looking for a V6 94/95 engine, low kilometers preferably. My only has 150km but has a tick.....apparently its a wrist pin thats smaller than the hole it's in. I was told to keep driving until it blows! But I want a backup for when it does.

Im not too technical (meaning i wouldn't know how to rip a motor, ecm, etc on my own). Plus I would assume ripping out the 3.8L and all the ecm stuff and installing a 5.0L or something would be more expensive. I only have an auto tranny, and not to sound dumb, but im not exactly sure what I can put with it? Like a 99-04 V6, or will a 96-98 V8 match up? The major part is that I am a student and kinda have limited funds....unfortunately. So part of it is lack of knowledge I guess, and the other being money. Got any advice, I assume you know what you're talking about, you seem to.

haha, i dont know what im talking about...just fragments of what i read on teh board.

SteathGT has a 94, that used to be a V6, that he swaped a V8 into.
im pretty sure he used his origanal tranny...

a 5.0 i dont think would be much more than a 3.8...
give it a few hours, im sure others will chime in...
or better yet, start a new thread in the mustang tech or talk section

that is if you want something else to think of.

A newer V6 should be the same as yours, but you'll have to change over a bunch of stuff as many things changed from '94-'04, if you call an auto wrecker, they should be able to look it up and let you know if the engines will interchange or not.
