Gt hood with vents?

I have a 2012 GT/CS but the hood doesn't have vents. Does anyone have or know of somewhere I might find one?

def67 05-29-2014 11:21 AM

Maybe someone with a 13 or 14 will upgrade theirs and sell the old one, that or look around AM, steeda etc...

dbot987 05-29-2014 11:29 AM

I'll try auto wreckers too. Thanks.

Not sure a 13-14 will fit a 2012

ChadStang 05-29-2014 10:40 PM

A 13-14 hood won't fit a 12 unless you at minimum replace the front bumper with a 13-14 unit. I'm not even sure that the fenders are the same.

dbot987 05-30-2014 08:42 AM

Ok, thanks. Sounds like I'll just have to live without them!! (-:

milner_7 06-05-2014 07:24 PM

you could buy the vents hand have someone professionally cut and install them.

dbot987 06-05-2014 11:07 PM

Yeah, I looked into that but they wouldn't be recessed into the hood and wouldn't look nearly as good. I've kinda given up on that idea and now looking for the best muffler for my 2012 GT. Always an adventure.

I came across these today, maybe you could make them work

Found these babies on E-bay though, could be just the thing the OP's looking for.

I guess you have to be a member. Try the good old cut and paste. Just add the www to it in the address bar. It may work. :?

Ummm, wtf. Would someone seriously put that on their car.

Apocalypse Pony 10-13-2014 06:20 AM

Have you seen some of the stuff people put on their cars? I don't doubt it for a minute someone in the trailer park has a set of these. lol

True, from 50 ft they probably look awesome

Ohtobbad 10-14-2014 02:45 PM

Nope, they are imitation decals

Nope! Wrong! they are real decals!!! :shakeit:

Apocalypse Pony 10-15-2014 03:33 AM

Proof that you don't need the real thing when you've got a decal that can do the job for less. Think I'll get a "supercharged" decal and convert my wife's Hyundai Santa Fe' to forced induction. Maybe even make it a Santa Fe' Cobra while I'm at it.

Well played sir, well played

Ohtobbad 10-15-2014 02:58 PM

extra silly decals of any kind are a waste of time energy and money.
Only help car rust sooner.
The real ones could add some benefits.

thetrousertrout 10-15-2014 06:13 PM

Real decals do have benefits! I have seen several 600hp imports that are zooming around my neighborhood and the best mods along with the required exhaust is the assortment of decals that boost street cred. They must work well on their cars so why wouldn't they work equally as well on a Mustang?

Ohtobbad 10-15-2014 06:26 PM

I guess each to there own, looks good on drag and stock cars, but cheap on street cars IMO

thetrousertrout 10-15-2014 08:27 PM

We need a sarcasm button on here I was joking about the stickers giving more power. :P

Adding a fart can and an "R" decal is good for at least 75hp.
