interested in a Downhill bike? my brother has a 03 or 04 frame Norco 125 with a bunch of upgraded stuff, hydro discs, triple wall rims, he doesn't use it anymore (has a sweet '05 RM250) so he might be willing to sell. The bike held up to blue mountain the one summer (riding the big downhill trails) so assume it's still in half decent shape. let me know.

sounds like an expensive bike. i was only willing to be spending around 200-250, just something that i can mess around on for now. but if you could find out for me that would be great, and maybe a pic. thanks

ha, ok, my brothers bike was worth close to $1500 a couple years ago with all the parts, not sure how much it's depreciated in the last coupld years, but i'd bet he'd still want over $1000 for it, i'll ask him if he knows of anyone selling any other lower end bikes.
I'm a little baised but i'd avoid crappy tire, unless you are only going point A to point B and don't want a quality bike, then a CT bike is the way to go spend a little more and get a giant or norco etc etc with better parts, i've got a Giant i bought in 1997, and used it extensively the first couple years, (not as much now) but it's still in the same shape mechanically that it was in 1997, just had to put on new cables, chain, tires, brake pads, but the deraillers (highest end shimanos at the time) and everything are still in excellent shape. A comfortable seat is always a plus the stock one i got on my Giant was more of a downhill seat and hurt after long rides, go a little bigger and padded, and your groin will thank you.
