Need advice.
I have a Mustang Ford GT 2010 Factory Track Pak incl. 19" Wheels, 373 Differential and Short Throw Shifter. New in March 2010. 28,900 Km at August 2011. Nice Leather ... Great Sound System incl. Sirius.

I have added ...
2005-2012 MUSTANG GT COUPE HANDLING PACK (1 INCH DROP)
M-FR3-MGTA.
And 17” Mags with Winter Tires. And all original chassis parts.

I have been tracking (Tremblant, The Glen etc.) for a second season with this car and need more brakes. Does someone have advice on some serious brake systems or a set for sale? I also need 19 inch tires (e.g. Nitto NT05) or 18 inch wheels with good tires mounted (used in good condition is OK).

Hawk pads are good bang for the buck with many applications for many drive styles.

Alan, did the 2010 Track Pack cars include the 14" Brembo front brakes that the 2011 GT Track Pack does, or no? If not, you can but the front upgrade from various sources, such as Shelby GT-500 takeoffs, or in a kit for front and rear from Ford Racing Parts. These are your best bang for the buck front brakes for an S197. A friend has an 07 GT that gets tracked quite a bit at Mosport, we put those brakes on it a few years ago and they have been great, using Hawk HP+ pads on the front, and OEM GT-500 rear pads.

I'm assuming that you don't have them, since you mentioned 17" winter wheels. The Brembos need at least 18" wheels to clear, and even then a lot of 18" will not. Probably the best value for wheels that fit are the 2010 Shelby GT-500 ragtop 18 x 9-1/2" wheels that are available through Ford Racing for about $200 per wheel. Nitto has 275/40R18 in the NT-05, perfect size for the car, that's what my buddy is running on his.

Then you will have to shop around for something to put new winter tires on, since your 17s won't work any longer. Or, you could change back to your original front brakes back on for the winter, which wouldn't be that difficult ... just a caliper and rotor swap basically.

My tires are 245/45/19.
I was thinking Nitto NT 05 that are 245/40/19.
Perhaps Brembos for the front and rear wheels.
I am currently using Hawk Plus track pads on the stock brakes.
A little scary.
Other suggestions welcome.

You could, but if you want to track the car seriously, a 3600 lb. 300+ hp vehicle needs more than 245 width rubber! I was running 245s on my 3200 lb. 275 hp Fox years ago, and that wasn't enough.

I'd suggest finding a buyer for your original 19" wheels, since the width of those is going to limit your tire choice, and then going with some 18 x 9-1/2" or 18 x 10" with 275 or 285 tires.

10s all around with the right backspacing (about 7") will be fine. That's what the cars in Continental Challenge are running ...

Brembo, Stoptech, Bear, SSB and wilwood come to mind as the tops in brake manufacturers.
