I's start my search in the usual places - Ford Racing Performance catalogue, then the Ford dealership - clearly those options are not going to be cheap.

Next I'd check out auto recycling yards - a 4.6 has been t-boned somewhere and the engine is just waiting to be picked. The AutoTrader is also a good resource as are forums like CMOC - the for sale sections are full of goodies.

An area that most people overlook is engine builders and performance shops. There are countless enginess sitting idle in various performance shops / engine shops around the city. People pull their 4.6 for a new 5.0 or 5.8 or other builds all the time - can't imagine shops would charge too much to unload the former powerplants. Give Steeda.ca a call.

Wow thanks for the quick reply. Im located in toronto and would prefer somewhere local to pick it it up. Does it take much to switch the vehicle from auto to standard?

I'm wondering if you could go to one of the car rental places and get one for the day? Then you might have to worry about scuffing it up though, best to find a buddy with one I guess.
