Looking to buy a CHEAP beater....200-500 bucks. Something to be used for daily driving, and if it makes it winter driving

 

i have an 88 Merc Grand Marquis paul - its yours - no charge if u want it, needs fuel lines for sure, and prob a few other things, but it runs and drives, car is currently sitting in scarborough

 

Well I was thinking of keeping it to drive out east with this summer but cash is rather tight. I've got an 86 lebaron GTS, runs great. i'm asking 1000 for it, would need parking brake cables and two rear brake cylinders to pass safety...would cost $400 to have a mechanic do it, or you could save yourself a ton of money if you can do it yourself (I would but no garage )

I think the etest is still good, if not it flew through the last one. Can't see any problems there.

another option would be to check out the autotrader.ca auctions....some good cars go real cheap there...

 

sorry, didn't see one of the above posts.....can't go wrong with a free car, and I'm assuming you can do the work yourself....

 

I'll be looking at selling my beater after this winter for around that price range
