2000 Mustang for sale...

Hey all,

I would like your opinion on this car. First off I am in Canada, so these are Canadian Prices. I have found a 2000 Ford Mustang for sale and I was wondering if he is asking too much and how much should I offer.

2000 Mustang, Black
Standard
power windows, power locks, little stuff like that ( No Cruise Control though..)
90,000 kms
The body of the mustang looks great... no rust.

The dealer is asking $11,000

too much?
what should I offer?

Not a bad price IMO...another member just scored a 2000GT with about 40,000kms for a for around the same money...and he figured that he stole it.

I am pretty sure it isn't a GT thou,
I checked it over and I didn't see the GT written anywhere...
I noticed it was an anversary one thou.

Ya thats a really good price.... but I am still conviced that $11,000 is way to much for a regular mustang 2000 especially with 90k kms..

If its a GT its not a bad price, if not, I would offer him 8 and see what he says.

Here's the way I would look at it:

1) brand new, the V6 was about 70% of the price of the GT
2) you can get a nice condition GT for 11k
3) 70% of 11k is $7700

Offer $7700

Great deal if it's a GT / clean.

The last time I looked at the Mustang I noticed only:

- it had either the
A) 25TH ANNIVERSARY DASH PONY EMBLEM
B) PLAIN DASH PONY EMBLEM
(Pictures of emblems here: http://www.johnsmustang.com/Catalog/2208/ )

- GT wasn't written anywhere on the car.

So its definatly not a GT and it may or may not be the 25th anniversary edition. So 8,000 is still a good offer then?

Also I have another question, I am a student and money is going to be tight at the begining... I even plan on using credit to buy the stang and storing it for the winter until its paid off and I have some money to put into it

Anyways what I was tryin to get at was are there any tweaks that I can do to the engine so I get better fuel consumption? The car will be standard so I image that makes things alot easier as opposed to it being auto.

Also from all of your experience what is the first thing I should do to the engine? I plan on customizing it under the hood and the interior. I am just going to leave the outside black and have black rims.

I assume you know the difference between a 6 and a GT. Just because it doesnt have badging, doesnt mean its not a GT.
Pop the hood
