87 t-top GT for sale. Pics.
Finally found my LX coupe, so the GT has to go.
Keep in mind for those who know my car, it is being returned to stock. No MSD, No drag suspension, No aluminum driveshaft, no electric fan etc, no underdrive pullies.
But it will be all be replaced with good quality working stock equipment. And the car will have 10 holes on it, but I am however leaving the MAC shorty un-equals on the car, I am also leaving the 3:73 rear end, and a couple goodies. Perhaps a shorty shifter or something. I am also leaving the Southside upper and lower control arms, and the subframe connectors will also be on it. I also may leave the line lock on it.
The good.... new balljoints, Tierods, axle, valve cover gaskets, (motor doesnt lose a drip of any fluid) rear main seal, tranny flush and service.
The bad ... cracked windsheild, no rust has popped through yet, but there ARE two or three bubbles. You can barely see them though. It will need an alignment once I put the stock suspension back in most likely as well, and of course the T-top LEAK. Good luck finding ones that dont. However, in the rain they won't leak on you, it's really only when you pressure wash it. Also, being a t-top car, there was floor rot. So a body shop cut out the rot, and welded in new sheetmetal. They did a good job.
All very minor stuff, the car looks good, a coat of paint would be nice, but it's not like it needs it desperately. It cleans up very nice too.
I've got this car down to 3180 LBS, which is good for a t-top car, and it's fast. On the motor it went 13.6 with a best mph of 103, and that was with a 2.0 60'
With a 4:30 - 4:56 gear this car could touch 12's on the stock motor. Before the exhaust etc, it dyno'd 221RWHP 284RWTQ. I have dyno sheets and timeslips to back this up. This is a rare 87+ T-top car.
If anyone wants to see this car in person, tonight, be at the Tim Hortons Tonight in Woodbridge @ Martingrove & Hwy 7 around 11:00PM I will gladly take you for a spin.
PRICED TO SELL.... $2800 in my hand
PLEASE NOTE: This car can't be had until I put the stock suspension back in, which I will likely do this weekend.
