FS 1985 Mustang GT Turbo
Well, I'm thinking of selling my turbo '85. NOT PARTING OUT. The car doesnt look like much, all she really needs is some body work and paint. Body wise, the entire front clip has been replaced with rust free parts, both doors are from a southern '89 LX and are almost rust free. The hatch has some rust, but is workable. The quarter windows are 87-93 as is all the trim on the car. Has a mint '85-86 GT front bumper and fog lights are there and working. I may as well just list everything in point form
BODY
*All removable panels replaced, minimal rust elsewhere.
*89 doors
*86 hood and front bumper
*87-93 quarter windows
*Flat Black Paint
INTERIOR
*Dash could use replacement, cracked at radio opening and dash pad is cracked
*front seats are titanium from a '90 LX
*Door panels are from an '89 GT, non power doors
*Rear seats are 87-89 GT
*Carpet and roof liner are from a '90
ENGINE/DRIVETRAIN
*Rebuilt '90 shortblock, has about 5k Miles on fresh rebuild
*Recently installed ported and polished E7 heads with 1.9/1.6 valves, upgraded valve springs. Fully rebuilt and work done about 10k ago
*Crane Cobra 1.72 Roller Rockers
*Stock '90 cam straight up
*EFI Conversion with MAF and 255lph intank Walbro pump
*Ported stock lower intake
*Ford Racing 30# injectors with 73MM C+L MAF
*Needs a proper MAF sensor as the C+L is quite finicky
*World Class T5
*King Cobra clutch disc with Centerforce weighted Flywheel
*Stock 8.8 rear end with 3.08 gears
TURBO SETUP
*modified TTI Street Kit, was driver side mount now pass side mount
*TTI Bottom mount intercooler
*Mac 1 5/8" header on driver side, 2" crossover behind motor into log header on pass side exiting into turbo. 3" Downpipe
*50MM Racegate set at 7lbs of boost, open dump into atmosphere
*Garrett T04E 57 Trim turbo with 1.00 A/R P trim turbine and .70 A/R compressor (full boost at 3000RPM)
*Needs a new V-Band pipe as I made the one on the car and it leaks exhaust, also I didnt do the best job welding the Racegate flange so that needs to be rewelded. This can all be redone quite easily and I can make some sort of deal for it.
EXHAUST
*3" Downpipe into dual 2.5" Flowmaster cat back, I have Dynomax Ultra Flows I was planning to install and I can install them if requested
*wastegate dumps to atmosphere, I dont like it strictly because I wanted the car quiet but it roars like hell when it gets into boost. I've surprised the hell out of brand new Porsche Carrera and made him flee in shame and fear
SUSPENSION/BRAKES
*Eibach springs, I forget pro kit or sportline but its the one that makes the car sit lower
*Koni front struts, one of my rear shocks was damaged and I replaced them with stockers
*2 piece strut tower brace not installed, but its VERY high quality and wont work due to my downpipe being in the way. If the DP was customized it would fit.
*Panhard Rod setup not installed, I just havent had the time to do it and was planning to install when I did the muffler swap.
*Stock '85 master cylinder, 87-93 front brakes and spindles, stock rear drums rolling on some 15" ARE wheels
*Needs tie rods and a ball joint
I'm currently driving the car, it needs some things to be tied up and a nice paintjob. When the MAF doesnt act up, the car runs great and hauls ***. With a blown headgasket, stock heads, 7lbs of boost and Flowbusters she ran a 13.50@108MPH. Right now I figure she should run mid to low 12s on a slick at 110-112mph. If you install a full out drag suspension, 3.27 gears, fix all the little problems there is no reason why this car wouldnt go 11's. The motor has 60psi of oil pressure on cold start and idles with 30-35psi of oil pressure warm. All the cylinders blow nearly identical compression levels, I forget but I believe they were in the 135-140 range (I might be wrong, they could have been higher). It needs someone with more funds available to finish her up. I just bought a V6 SN95 and will be swapping a stock 5.0 into it and driving that and turboing it over time. I've put a lot of time and effort into this car, it just needs someone to finish it. I'm asking $4400 for the car. I will NOT part the car out. As much as I love this car and as much fun as I have with it, I'm thinking to just convert the SN to a 5.0 and drive it stock for a while till I can afford to do all that I want. If you calculate all the stuff on this car there is much more than $4k in goodies. If I dont get what I'm asking for this car then its all getting gutted and parted out. EDIT by that I mean its all going in the SN95, either the 85 is sold complete or its all going in my 95.

Well, I've been kicking this thought around for a little while and I think I may part the car out..... I am sure I can get more for it in parts than I can complete. I'm going to put up a post with all the parts listed and individual prices, if there is enough interest in the parts then I will part it out.
