T5 with Hardened Gears

This is a rebuilt Used T5 Tranny. It was rebuilt with new synchros, and hardened gears, and only used for about 2 months.
It has a Hurst short throw shifter on it, I can easily separate them, or it can go with the tranny.
Its been sitting in my garage for 6 months, as a spare.
I have never used it, It was included in some other parts I bought.
It seems to shift fine,( on the bench), and the guy I got it from was honest.
There are no cracks in the case, and it is very clean.

The rebuild.... Is it a 3.35 1st gear gearset or 2.95 gearset? Who did the rebuild? Does it have the upgraded throwout bearing retainer? How much w/o the Hurst shifter?

No idea who did the rebuild. All I know for sure is that its got hardened gears, and that it had new synchros.
I geuss I could try to find out the 1st gearset ratio...by counting the turns. Ill get back to you on that.

I'll knock 20$ off without the shifter, or just make an offer.

BTW-I would be asking a lot more for it, if I knew the details 100%- I know what a good rebuilt T5 goes for, unfortunately, I dont have the paperwork for this one.

Did he say where he bought the hardened gears from? What ALL did he tell you? I've just bought more than my sahre of used T5s that are not any good, and if this has never been in a car....... well.. you see where I am going...

Yeah if you dont mind count how many turns it takes the input shaft to rotate to get 1 full roation of the output shaft with the trans in 1st gear.

This Trans HAS been in a car, I think that was in my first post. It was pulled in favour of an Auto, and more consistant times.
Like I said, I dont know who built it, and I dont have any paperwork. I trust the guy I got it from, he would never commission a halfass rebuild.
If you have any more questions, or would like to take a look, please feel free to email me at bsl89lx@yahoo.com. If you are serious, I will give you my phone #.
Thank you for your interest

Not sure of the year.
I know for sure it fits 86-93. You would have to make sure '94 shares the same tranny as '93.
