I have the Shaker500 in my 06 Mustang coupe and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on subs and amps to add to this set up. I don't want to change anything, im fine with the stock speakers and deck in the dash... just want to add subs since the shaker 1000 comes with those...

anyways...
any suggestions from anyone here?

also what is the speaker set up in the car? what sizes are each speaker?

I also have the shaker 500 in the 05 Gt. I was going to add subs to it but then decided to go with a double din dvd player. If you want to keep all stock componets you will need an amp wiring kit(power, ground, fuse block, remote wire and rca cables) also you need and aftermarket amplifier and subs, To get the signal for the amp you have to buy a converter that will tap into the rear speakers and gives a RCA output. You can buy the converter at future shop or best buy for 25-50 bucks. I would advise buying the more exspensive one that has adjustable outputs(RCA's). Then you have to go into your fuse panel and find 12v source that is only on when the car is on that around the 300mA range. Then tap into it for your remote wire to turn on the amplifier.

As for speaker sizes the doors have 6"x8" up top and 8" mid woofers in the bottom of the doors. The 8" speakers have amps for each speaker in each door. The speakers on the back deck of the backseat are also 6"x8". I believe all speakers are 6 ohms as well.
