An afternoon detailing the GT.
Well, gave the GT a much deserved deep clean/detail this afternoon.
After taking my daughter to see the latest Pirates flick,i thought i would spend the rest of my afternoon off with the GT.
Started by dusting the GT off with my California car duster, then pulled out Mothers Showtime, and claybar, and gave it the once over.Couldn't beilieve the crap that came off the GT even though it doesn't get exposed to too much out door activities, but now it is smooth as a babies butt.
Then i pulled out the Mothers FX spray wax,and did the once over, boy did the metalics pop! Then i went over all the door jambs, and trunk jamb, then the rims, yes i use this stuff on my rims seeing that my rims are coloured, then on the glass, yes i wax my glass.LOL!
Then after all that,i popped the headlights out,and 3rd brake light out,ad did those areas.Once i was done with that i pulled out Meguiars Headlight Restore kit that i bought yesterday, and went nuts on restoring the lences up!
They weren't really bad,but everytime i detailed the GT i new how weathered scratched they were from the 8 years of ownership! The 3rd brake light came out like new,and the headlights almost like new.I will probably go over them again somtime as they actually need a light wet sanding.
Once the headlights, and 3rd brake light were back in their places,i moved to the engine bay,and gave a nice dusting over.
Needless to say,it took me roughly 5/6 hours on an already somewhat really clean car.!Weird.
No pics,no sence since silver is one of those colours that doesn't really show the difference in pictures, but you guys are more then welcome to drop by,and check her out LOL!

Holy Jeez dude, you weren't kidding about the metallic popping - last pic shows it good! Great way to spend an afternoon, kicking back with some tunes and shining up the Mustang - looks awesome!

Thanks guys!!
Sorry,i only do this for my rides! To much time invested in something like this.LOL
I tell you this,i really feel it in my wrist, and elbow today.
Apocalypse Pony, you got that right,an afternoon with the stang, and some good old tunes is is what it's all about!Going over every little detail, and admiring the work you had done.
I would love too,but i'm no photographer.I'm alright for the cloudy/daylight pics, but suck with the night shots.
