-PLOTNIK- 01-01-2011 03:11 PM

fast Ed 01-01-2011 03:55 PM

Great event, my buddy Stu (Virgil Hilts) and I have been down several times. Anything Ford / Lincoln / Mercury / Edsel that you can imagine, there will be at least one there.

cheers

TJ_HOOKER 01-02-2011 11:33 AM

wow, cool responses. i'll be driving from guelph, most likely pickin up a buddy in AYR, and heading down. maybe closer to the date, anyone local to the tri city or guelph can meet up and see if we wanna cruise down. maybe hook up at the cambridge home depot cruise night to figure it out. i'll post up closer to june.

1low03gt 01-02-2011 10:02 PM

Made this a sticky to keep it at the top. :tup

-PLOTNIK- 01-02-2011 10:28 PM

well it looks like plunket is also having his show that weekend this year it looks like a two day car show

http://www.fleetwoodcountrycruizein.com/2011/2011.html

1low03gt 01-03-2011 08:01 PM

The only problem with Plunkets is that it's age limited. The only reason we were able to enter that one year is because he had a mustang special for the anniversary of the mustang.Unless that is changed now!

yup yup. i kinda have this "road trip across the U.S. in a wicked car" fantasy. i wanna drive thru the mountains on the states side. i would like to go thru canada on the way there, depends on how much time i can get off. i havent been out west in years, would like to see where i used to live when i was little.

I've been there five times so far, to both the Ford and GM shows. Lots of fun however it rains every year at the Ford show. I prefer to stay in Harrisburg instead of Carlisle as it's much cheaper and still easy to get there on the interstate. The cruise at CJ Pony Parts is a blast as well.

Been going down for Woodward since '99 - it's so much better than your usual car show, cause everyone seems to be running around with open headers and doing the occasional burnout, and not just sitting there parked like in a normal car show. As long as you keep it under control and not go crazy, the cops generally look the other way, but since you got a million or so people attending, if you get out of hand they'll light up the cherries and pull you over. It's so close, ( 1 hr or so), you can spend all day and not feel wiped out from driving. We got a buddy with an old full size van with windows, so a bunch of us pack the cooler and head down. If you get a chance, go. Haven't been to Carlisle yet though.

-PLOTNIK- 01-21-2011 09:25 AM

hmmm maybe interested in Woodward
